So heres my setup. I use pocketcasts for just about everything that is long form so its all in one spot and I can keep track of episodes and resume where I left off at any time. (it also works on phone/desktop browser, so I can listen anywhere).
Besides the podcast functionality, what I normally do with LONG youtube videos is I download the video or audio using newpipe and then import it to pocketcasts and add it to my queue.
If I didnt have this feature I probably wouldn’t watch as many long youtube videos and such.
Is there a self-hosted version of this?
My ideal app would be a podcast app that streams from my server (kind of like plex), but that also allows me to download files locally. I would also be able to import “other” media into this app.
What would really be nice is if it could just watch certain youtube channels and then give that to me as a podcast feed, so I can download and watch episodes at my convenience.
Does anything like this exist? Is there a better way to do what im doing?
