Its such a BS double standard founded on sinophobia, and I would argue that far-right entities from not just the US, but around the globe interfere with us on a deeper and much more consistent than the CCP ever have.
But investigating that would probably affect PP too much for him to ever seriously consider a full-on inquiry into foreign interference on the whole.
CCP as in China? I think the moral problem with China is when they intimidate/manipulate people who genuinely wanted to be Canadians. We’ve also let them skirt our income qualification rules pretty much putting them in the front of the line for property sales.
As far as direct election/policy interference yea it’s definitely north american right wingers and their russian troll-farm agitators/boosters. Reddit in 2016 was infested with corroborating pro-trump accounts that were clearly just one person with several users.
I hope things continue in the direction of having 3 or 5 major parties in parliament. The reason our politicians are so low quality is because of lack of competition. It also makes it exponentially easier to use money to influence government policy when you only need to buy out one party.
