Mine is definitely the trend of doing “catless downpipes” and “resonator deletes” making your exhaust super raspy as a means of gaining more volume rather than doing a proper exhaust setup. Especially since high flow cats these days will flow more hp than most are making.

Sway bars tbh because factory spends millions developing the suspension. Your $60 sway bar isn’t gonna be better

The “midnight” editions. Black wheels/trim/emblems are so overdone these days. It was unique before the manufacturers mass produced them on the assembly line.

It’s not necessarily my least favorite, but the people who intentionally rewire their CHMSL to flash when braking just annoy me. It’s illegal where I am and makes them less easy to identify at a glance as braking. My actual least favorite is the stupid bro dozer coal roller type vehicles, largely because they’ve tried to gas me multiple times before

Anything that makes the car overly loud or make the exhaust smell bad. Rolling coal included.

Tinting the tail lights and changing wheel camber are 2 other stupid mods.

Lifted trucks. I get why someone would lift a Wrangler, but I have no idea what purpose a lifted 2WD F350 with easily scratched chrome has. Well, I should say I don’t know what good purpose it has.

If I include stuff thats possible on American roads I‘d have to include coal rolling and those pedestrian killing rims that extend half a meter past the width of the car, not to mention those people putting huge amounts of negative camber on their car to get that „stepped on a hotwheel look“.

Here in Germany that stuff wouldn’t be possible you’d probably be pulled over and get your car towed within the first 5km.

Around here I could mention those cheaply lowered cars with the ebay special suspension parts that strangely ride like dog shit on public roads but you know what really grinds my gears?

Its not even a Car mod it’s usually limited to motorcycles. I‘m speaking about those idiots putting a slip-on on their bike and removing the DB-killer. I like motorcycles just as much as I like cars and I couldn’t care less about people wanting to change their exhaust sound (not volume) with a slip-on, I only get aggressive when they also have to make their bikes unnecessarily loud. Its mainly because the local governments react to loud bikers by closing twisty roads on Sundays.

So because of the damn idiots I am not allowed to ride on some of the best roads in my area.

Careless down pipes and res deletes definitely make cars sound like their true self. But it all comes down to the backbox. That’s normally what makes the car sound good or shit
