Would you recommend me going for a V1 for pirating or I should go for the OLED version?
Go with V1. OLED requires you to solder on a modchip. V1 does not.
Depends on how cheap you can find a V1 in your area or how readily available they are.
Also depends if the OLED screen and battery life is worth the extra cost of the modchip as well as the cost of installation (unless you install it yourself).
I’d say if you can get an unpatched V1. If you can’t or want an OLED screen and slightly better battery life get the OLED and a modchip chip.
OLED is the nicest option, but you need to install a modchip to use it, or get one that’s chipped.
If you can’t do that, get an unpatched V1. Make sure to check the serial number of the console you are buying however! Not all V1 are unpatched, so you have to be careful.
When buying, you can go ahead and ignore all models that say HAC-001(-01) on the back, as those are V2’s, and guaranteed to be patched. HAC-001 is a V1.
