It’s the main reason I’ve cut down on my tech news consumption and quit some podcasts entirely after Elaine bought Twitter.
Every week these tech journalist nerds would complain and whine about Twitter and Musk while still using the platform heavily and giving it a considerable amount of coverage. I just don’t care to listen about a platform I don’t use every single week.
Lemmy’s having a similar “ex-girlfriend that I’m obsessed about” syndrome with Leddit and while it was arguably OK in the first couple of weeks of mass migration, it’s maybe time to move on, guys. You don’t even have the incentive that journos have of covering Twitter and Elaine of getting more clicks and more advertising dollars from this.

yes but on lemmy it’s generally quarantined to subs specifically about the migration
which you can just block if you want to disinfect your c/local and c/all
