Last person I knew of who had a stroke was my friend’s dad. His wife heard him cry out and when she got to the room he was in, he had fallen to his knees and was crying, reaching up toward his head with both hands.
Coming from a former medic, strokes are one of those issues that present a ton of different ways. Some people are in excruciating pain, others can’t move their pinky and that’s it.
I’ve trucked in an old timer who insisted he was fine and only going to make his wife stop nagging him. Guy had a brain bleed that would have killed him if he wasn’t already in the hospital.
You’re completely right though, that he’s fucking 81 and it could have been a thousand different things. Just pointing out how insidious strokes can be. I have no idea why he wasn’t taken directly to hospital.
He wasn’t taken to the hospital because he’s surrounded by garbage people who care for no one but themselves. He’s surrounded himself with them and been one of them for decades, it should come as no surprise
Not a doctor but most of my family is. Im educated enough to know that you cannot diagnose someone off a video. If you doubt this ask a doctor if they would formally diagnose a guy off a news clip.
Is it possible he had a stroke? Sure it is but we cannot conclude that without an examination.
Note that you are taking videos of these people which is different than what is going on in a newsclip. Additionally they likely aren’t diagnosing neurological problems without providing specific instructions fir the patient to demonstrate things.
Try asking the neurologists if they would diagnose someone they never examined off a news clip

Im not trying to teach you anything. Im pointing out that there is a difference between what you are doing and looking at a clip of someone you have no medical records for who isn’t being recorded by a tech for the purposes of diagnosis and making a judgement based on that.
You’re a tech and I highly doubt you are recording stroke victims to be diagnosed remotely. That tends to be done in house since it is so time sensitive.

True. I mean, strokes come in all different severities.

No I know enough not to say it is a stroke purely based on a video. Is it possibly one? Sure it is, but it might be something else.
