Previously not long after Anthony Loke become the transport minister, rapidKL always gave an explanation whenever an issue happens, and they’ll always address the issue in a PR statement. But nowadays they just mention they’ll investigate the issue and never come up with an explanation. Was all that PR game last time just for show?

Rapid KL seems to be more transparent about bus disruptions due to road closures etc. But like the recent (21-23 July) Putrajaya Line issues, they do inform the public and fix them, although they didn’t address the “why”. Maybe they keep the post-mortem details internally to avoid lowering the public’s trust on KV rail services.

Hmm… that makes sense. Now I think of it, I do kind of remember someone(could be Anthony Loke himself) mentioning to rakyat to expect issues for a couple more months, but then when rapid KL refuses to explain the whys it’s starting to look like they are trying to hide things. They handled the Masjid Jamek-Bandaraya rail issue really well, although I guess that was caused by an external factor so it clearly wasn’t their fault.
