So given (I think?) that we went through a double wave EG5, JN1 over the last few months, was noticed very few deaths stats over the period - other than age care reporting. The following articles suggest that most of the data collection has been stopped - because we aren’t in the emergency stage of the pandemic - even though WHO has been clear that we are still in a pandemic. Who makes these decisions in Australia? It makes absolutely no sense to me.

@ranil @auscovid19 covid is over, so they stopped reporting, so there’s no data, so covid is over. Makes perfect sense.

No, governments think it’s “over”. I wish it was… but something tells me the world (or Australia at least) is in for a COVID-19 rebound this winter.
I’m no angel, I haven’t been masking because lets face it… 30.2°C, and that isn’t the hottest it’s been today.
I have at least kept vaccinations up with a booster shot in the last 12 months in line with medical recommendations.
Lots of people haven’t even bothered with that latter step… just relying on the first two shots they ever got to keep them out of the ICU. That is why I think we’re in for a rebound.
