Many comments go on how data collection is so bad in many if not all mobile phone apps. My take is to treat the phone as that, a persona that’s being spied upon. Then I have my Linux computer where I may do more private stuff. Of course, this is no silver bullet. It’s just my current state of mind. At some point I might switch to a Linux phone, but I kind of need WhatsApp (lived without it a year or so, lost contact with many people)

Yes, so much of our personal data is leeched from our phones, doesn’t mean we should except it and willingly open a vein.
