I started cross-dressing while I’m alone at home and few minutes ago I was doing that. There was a dress I wanted try and I did it now (I love it) but when I finished for today it was pretty hard to take it off because it wasn’t made for musculine body (first time having problem like that). I was scared that I won’t able to take it off by the time someone returns, they would be shocked. At the end that didn’t happen but now I want to come up with a way to explain everything to my parents if such scenario actually happens and I need some help with that (important note is that my parents are pretty religious, not extremists thou). Smartest idea would probably be to just stop cross-dressing but it gives me so much euphoria, can’t really give up on that.
Only idea I have for now is just to explain everything, that I’m trans and what that means, but I’m not sure how to do that in a way they would understand. There is probably a better way to go about this, any recommendation or story from personal experience would be useful.

IMO there’s no need for an explaination, but I’m also not on good terms with my parents, so it depends on whether you fear about your safety (e.g. when you’re a minor or (financially) dependent) or how well you can say no to things.
In general: You owe no one an explaination!
Not explaining anything would be worst thing to do with my parents, any kind of explanation would be safer.
this reads like you don’t have locks on your door, because locking a door would immediately solve all your problems by providing extra time and privacy.
I’m doing it in bathroom because it’s the only room in our house with a locker but it wouldn’t change much because closet is in a hallway so there is still a posibility of someone seeing me while returning clothes.
Depends on how they feel about trans people, test the waters. A subtle way is to ask a guy (or a few) role model(s) near you if they have ever thought about what it is like to be a girl.
My parents are fairly conservative, and I ran into the snag of the FIRST guy I asked was like “oh, yeah. All guys think that.” And then I just bought it for years.
Still, it is good to plant the seed.
How did you try taking the dress off? When I first wore a dress I tried taking it off by taking my arms out first and the dress was too tight for that and I ripped it. Then I discovered that you actually take a dress off by picking it up from the bottom and pulling it over your head and it was much easier to take off like that and didn’t rip.
That’s what I did from the beginning (it looked like the only way to actually do it) but it didn’t really work first few times.
I’ve just started doing dressing in ways more non-conforming for my AGAB, but I didn’t realize my interest until after I moved out from my parents*. First just like hair clips here, leggings there. With my sister (and her boyfriend and her best friend), I just showed up in cosplay as a female character once for Ren Fest. No warning. No explanations.
*technically I was caught back when I was in middle school, but I had no clue back then…
