Hi! I’m currently 5 months into my role as a SOC analyst (this is also my first role after graduating from university). Because I am new and there is a lot to learn, I feel overwhelmed by the number and complexity of tickets I am handling. I also feel sad that few of my senior analysts leave the team (they found better opportunities), especially since as a junior analyst, I have developed this certain comfort of asking them questions and they always respond positively and were very encouraging and supportive, despite the fact that they are also dealing with their own workload. I think whenever someone leaves, it affects the team’s morale as well.

Have you experienced this before and in what ways have you dealt with these issues? I’m also interested to know any advice you’d tell your selves when you’re at your early career stage.
