Hi, I’m new here and new to MDMs and Apple Device management. I’m getting our school started with Mosyle and new shipment of MacBooks. We’re a Google Workspace shop with a mix of Apple hardware and Chromebooks. Here’s what I’m hoping to achieve:

Google allows Mac users to install “Chrome Apps” for its native apps (e.g. Mail, Calendar, Drive, Chat, etc.). I like these because, as a Mac user, they provide a clear icon in my dock and allow me to toggle to these apps as if they were native (see screenshot). (I know these “apps” are really just Chrome running in a different window, but the user experience is improved, in my view.) My question: is there any way, using Mosyle, that I could force-install these Google Chrome Apps on my users’ Macs? I already reached out to Google support and the rep explained that, “the apps must be installed at machine level (operating system level).” The support rep at Mosyle said to try “a PKG, DMG, or ZIP file obtained from the app developers to help install the app remotely to your devices.”

Given that these are Google Chrome Apps, rather than just native Mac apps, I don’t think the same rules apply. Does anyone have any ideas?
