A recent patent application is suggesting that Google is going to replace the notch with an under-display front-facing camera in future Pixel phones.
I feel indifferent about this, on one hand its great to have even a tiny bit of screen real-estate back on the other hand I I expect the quality to look awful unless there’s been a major development with under display cameras.
Personally I think I prefer the display cutout or pop-up cameras until they improve the quality.
Pop up cameras would be best for privacy reasons.
