The Sega Master System is a very good console which was home to some classic games.

However the console is so popular in Brazil that it is still being manufactured under license today.

Made my Brazilian toy company Tectoy, the Master System regularly outsells current-gen systems because Brazil imposes a 120% tax on foreign games and consoles. So the domestically produced Master System Evolution is exempt.

It’s not technically a Master System. You can’t play Master System cartridges and the 120+ games are emulated using a System on a Chip design but that hasn’t stopped the Master System becoming the longest produced video game console in history.

There are a lot of Chinese “famicom on a chip” systems that for some reason ship with a knockoff PS2 controller when you only need 4 buttons and a dpad.

That thing above would be nice if it did Genesis/32X alongside SMS. Would say Saturn too but you need something about as powerful as a Series S to emulate it right. Even the Retroid Pocket 3+ hangs on some Saturn games.
