Sounds like U.S. is getting ready to cut Ukraine out and negotiate with Russia directly.

Well, I’m sure going over the helmets of the ukronazis definitely isn’t gonna backfire on Amerika anytime soon. Is this the part of the story where the insurgents Amerika backed realize "hey, waitaminute!!" and start turning the direction of their guns? I sure hope it is.

…Wow, that is heavy. The next few years are sure to be nasty; all because Amerika couldn’t keep its hands out the fuckin pot.

I hadn’t considered this possibility. What’s stopping the Ukrainians from steamrolling all the way to the Atlantic, given all of Europe’s tanks and artillery are currently in Ukraine, and there is no army with even a tenth of the experience of the Ukrainians around? As has been pointed out before, they should be the ones training NATO, not the contrary. Russia is clearly a tough nut to crack; can the same be said for Germany and Poland? I sure wouldn’t want to be next to a bunch of vindictive nazis full of guns, looking for easy prey.

Ukrainians are already starting to talk about being betrayed by the west. When US decides they had enough, and pulls out that could be the catalyst for the nationalists who are going to feel used by the west. Even if there is no organized military push, imagine what sort of terror cells these people are going to be forming all around Europe working with the local fascists.

I definitely see signs that at least one faction in US is looking for a way out, so trying to establish some sort of a dialog wouldn’t really surprise me. I do expect they’re going to find Russia to be in a rather uncompromising mood at this point.

It’s really not clear what US can offer Russia at this point given that Russia is winning both militarily and economically right now. Any sort of a freeze to the conflict would allow the west to rally and create more problems for Russia later. Seems that finishing this once and for all is the only realistic option for Russia.
