They didn’t name a single rookie, which makes sense.

Like, Clark isn’t even really doing well yet, and despite how the media acts, she’s never really been good at high profile games. I don’t think she’s ever won any kind of championship, maybe in HS or something.

She might not have even really been the best player in her draft class, there’s just this big push to talk about her like she’s some once in a lifetime player. But she’s not.

A couple of years in the league, and she will most likely be one of the best players in the league. But she’s just not there yet, and lots of things can prevent that.

Just because she got the largest sponsorship deal before she stepped foot on a pro court, doesn’t mean she’s the best player in the WNBA already.

        So I googled that…

She has more 3 pointers in a season (college, obviously), and apparently they count tournaments as season?

But looks like she missed 11 3 pointers in a row before making the one to break that record.

It was an unusually shaky start for Clark from beyond the arc on Friday as she missed her opening 11 shots from deep, but the 22-year-old still managed to stuff the stat sheet in Iowa’s blowout win against Penn State.

        https://www.cnn.com/2024/03/09/sport/caitlin-clark-history-steph-curry-three-spt-intl/index.html

And when she made it, was when the game was basically over and no pressure:

“I was trolling and messing around when I made that. You’ve got to have some fun,” Clark said of her record-breaking three postgame

        So, like I was saying:

she’s never really been good at high profile games.

Next Olympics she’ll probably be captain, but she’s not ready this year.
