    It’s basically caused by crunch culture. Everyone is stressed out and there is no time to breath and reflect. The constant grind turns the environment toxic. And I doubt they have a proper HR team, probably run by a family member.

      No, it is not caused by crunch culture.

      It is caused by implicit, or even explicit, support by leadership. It is caused by a culture where even the managers make fun of the sexual harassment training. And it is caused by a culture where it rapidly becomes clear that the squeaky wheel gets fired.

      Crunch does hurt morale, a lot. But that usually results in more people muttering “fuck” during a meeting or getting snippy.

      Abuse and assault are not caused by that. You don’t get tired and suddenly think it is fine to grab someone’s ass or refer to their “tits”. You do that because you are an asshole who knows you can get away with it because your management team have made it clear that they either do the same or care more about you than anyone else.
