I love seeing a main character with incorrect layers interact with a side character or some extras who are properly layered. Also love it when a main character who is poor is wearing fabrics well above her status, like Miss Poor would absolutely not be able to afford any of that outfit, not even the shift.

Love a period drama. But some are utterly unwatchable because the clothing is so wrong.

Listen to some of those re-enactors you’ve already hired as your extras. Their kit is visibly better than the main cast!
