I followed @[email protected]’s rootless android privacy guide. It’s been good so far, but I’m considering rooting my phone so I can do more with it. However, there aren’t any OSes like lineage or calyx that work with my phone (oneplus 11). Are there any risks or benefits I need to consider when deciding if rooting my phone is a good decision?

I got another phone. One for normie stuff and leave at home when I’m not doing normie things. get a box with aluminum foil around it and test to see if it can recieve calls. If it can’t recieve calls, you made a proper faraday cage to stop Google from sending the data to Palintir and beyond.

Rooting your phone will open it to vulnerabilities. Depending on the phone, rooting can also mean the loss of banking apps and Google pay.

Privacy and security go hand in hand
