The funny part of the meme is that France is actually constantly the country incarnation of r/antiwork (in all respects, good and bad), not just recently, and that’s therefore a thing some French people (esp. the right) are throwing around a lot as an offensive statement, which would explain the 31 64 downvotes (probably mostly frenchies with left tendencies who took it the wrong way) .
