ASUS is bringing back bootloader unlocking, dispute their customer service telling everyone otherwise. No ETA, although it may be within Q3.
If you need to ask their permission, which they can cut off at any time, and you need their custom software, which they could break at any time, then I might argue that they don’t generally have bootloader unlocking.
Agreed. In a nutshell, that’s why I’ve listen my Zenfone 9 on eBay and bought a Pixel 6 Pro. Sick of the lack of freedom. I’d rather own something I bought!
