For those wondering you can get both your phone and Internet bill lowered.

Phone? Don’t subscribe to the big 5. Go with something like US Mobile, Straight Talk, etc. You can get free service if you’re on welfare.

Internet? Multiple ISPs were doing lowered bills due to COVID relief for a long time thanks to the feds. It’s called the affordable connectivity program. https://www.fcc.gov/acp

Anon, as much as we’d love to live in a world where 40 hours makes the bills for a family or 4, it doesn’t work. You’ll have to nut up and find a different job, get more hours, or get another part time.

Fwiw McDonalds in flyover states is what pays anons wage. So he hasn’t exactly been out looking hard. Nor would he be locked out via moonlighting at those hours.

First time home buyer? You get lots of incentives.

We don’t live in a utopia. No amount of wishing will help. Get roommates. Find a better job. Make smart choices. Quit drinking so much booze and injecting your marijuana.

There is a SMALL correlation between part-time hours cut when the ACA started though: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/yes-some-companies-are-cutting-hours-in-response-to-obamacare/

Blame Republicans for butchering it. Blame Democrats for thinking there were still some honorable republicans who weren’t on their deathbed at the time. Hindsight is 20/20. We know better now lol.
