I hastily had the current one made with DALL-E using the prompt “cartoon lemming monster with fangs.” I think it lacks charm. I’m not an artist, so maybe I’ll try a better generative art tool or ask one of my artist friends for a doodle.

To directly answer your question, I’m picturing a more monstrous version of the lemming mascot, but still cartoon-like and charming. Something like obvious fangs, weird eyes- something like that, and which can also be noticeable in a small icon.
HOWEVER- I already have someone working on the official icon. Other interpretations would be cool, but I can’t promise I could use it for something.
