True first person, not a floating head but legs arms.

Also respecting first person, so no cinematic cameras for docking and take off landings, ladders, chairs.

Helmets visible like the metro games.

Weapon sights, me choosing between red dot, iron or scope should not effect accuracy.

No weapon sounds in space, also there should be different sound profiles on different planets.

Manuel docking, take off and landing.

Ship building should be less tied down by level and skills, and more focused on budget, make bigger reactors general better parts more expensive rather than adding arbitrary milestones to meet, just confuses the process

Gravity on a space ship should be optional maybe with a module thats distinct purpose is for gravity.

Space walk, I’d love to exit my ship.

Less loading screens. Love starfield but honestly the one nagging issue is that everything takes so long with 6 or so loading screens an hour…

The sqeeky elevator door in neon. Just no

The awful night club music in neon. Sound design department were obviously having a bad day in neon. Not to say the ambiant music is bad as I really like the ambiant sound track in neon.

Anyway I’m about 100hs in and would like to see other thoughts for improvement and maybe see them one day through mods, updates, dlc…

My wish list is pretty short and it’s been the same for almost every Bethesda RPG ever.

When I have to follow an NPC, give me a button to press to auto-follow so I don’t have to try and match their ‘faster than a walk but slower than a run’ pace.

    Please?

The biggest problem I’ve noticed with ship building is that you can only get certain parts from certain ports and if you delete a part that you got from a different port, just to see how it looks, you then have to fly back to that port to undo the change. It’s extremely tedious to have to fly all over the place just to try out builds and designs.

There really needs to be a design saving system so that you can go back to designs you’ve already paid for.

Shop building needs some way to designate where exactly your habs will have doors and ladders when adjacent to other habs in a way that allows for multiple connections. Making full loops would also be nice. Being able to build the interior of a hab would be the nicest.

There definitely needs to be a ship marketplace where people upload their designs and can be listed by popularity. To download and use it, it would just cost you the cost of all the parts. Easy.

Sorta easy, except the class of the powerplant (A, B, C) should maybe restrict you from flying it. But that’s separate from merely owning it.

I haven’t tried ship building yet, but from what I read I will probably skip on this part until a QoL update / mod pops up.

It really REALLY needs a QOL update. What I hadn’t mentioned in the previous comment is that sometimes the thumbsticks will randomly switch to inverted while I’m moving parts around.

Like literally, it’ll suddenly change to up is down, left is right, etc. No idea why it happens.

They’ve definitely had it work that way at least once. If they want to stop you from just “grabbing” an item and walking out the door with it, make a trigger area where if the item leaves a specific area, then it triggers a theft. They can even allow you to just take items from a store into your inventory, and then talk to the shop keeper to pay for it, and only count it as theft if you try to exit the store with the items.

I chuckled at the Neon club music. So true! Same goes for the club on the top of the Paradiso hotel.

NPCs keep mentioning how wild the nights are there. So I got there, sat on a bar stool, and waited until midnight to see how crazy it would end up.

Worst all inclusive resort party music ever. 0/10 would not recommend on SpaceTripAdvisor

It’s kinda late for a wish list no? Unless it’s a mod wish list. I don’t think we’ll ever have manual docking, and less loading screens, and as for the space walk stuff, I found this mod. I haven’t tried it out so I can’t comment on how well it works.

I want a mod that changes the highlight color of items in the scanner based on item value. This and/or an option to toggle items on/off from the scanner. I’m not 3 hours in and I’m already tired of scanning rooms only to find foam cups and food trays.

BE STABLE! I am playing on Series S. It crashes at least once per day, very often 5+ times per day. It’s the game, not the console (source: have many hours clocked in with other games and no such issues).

Love the game, getting so sick of it constantly freezing/crashing on me.
