We all knew this was going to happen. In pre-covid days one of my clients- a well -known community pillar- was trying to lay the ground work for affordable housing projects. Everybody involved wanted a piece of the pie and the baseline for “affordable” was $3K/month. He scrapped the project, but had intended to do it on his own with me as project manager. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer and died four months later. I’m still really pissed about it.
