Combined with the fact there seems to be more of a tendency to browse by “All” on Lemmy, that leads to lots of people outside the community seeing it early on, many of whom may disagree with Christianity.
The broader Lemmy userbase seems particularly opposed to Christianity, especially since there are several instances in support of communism to various extents, which has historically been hostile to organised religion. There were also plenty of atheists on Reddit too, many of whom have migrated here, but I suppose the way Reddit sorts and the size of the Christian communities over there reduced the impact.
