I signed up for a tchncs.de account and I wanted to try out Element-X android app. It’s login asks me for a password, which fails login, and I don’t see the tchncs authentication method. Has anyone got it working?
Have you changed the homeserver to
tchncs.de? I don’t know (but would assume) if it can autodetect this… . Oh by the way, if you usedmatrix.tchncs.dedirectly, the information for sliding sync was not configured there yet, sorry. I have added this now.Hi Milan, appreciate the quick response! The app wouldnt let me proceed with matrix.tchncs.de. So I used tchncs.de itself. Once I proceed, there is only the username and password text boxes and a continue button. Maybe this is an app limitation where they dont support the other authentication methods?
Hmm i can confirm that this is not working. I wonder if the new support only is for one “primary” OIDC provider. There is also nothing popping up when using matrix.org :( – but when using their testserver, it just redirects and doesn’t even show a button.
I had the same problem on my private server. Solved it by deleting the App data and trying again. Maybe give that a try?
This was only a problem when I did an upgradetot the element-x app though
Did you mean to say I could upgrade to element-x from element ?
Sorry, no. This was probably unrelated to your issue. I installed element-x on my phone and it worked. Then there was an update to the app, which had me log in again. This is where my login failed, similar to how you described your problen
