Those poor bastards. They were probably just trying to live their lives, then they get taken off the street, beaten, maybe given a couple weeks of “training”, and sent off to run through a minefield at prepared defensive positions. They see an opportunity to make a break for it, and I can’t blame them for that, and they have the bad luck to get caught by these nazis bastards waiting behind the lines to shoot “traitors” or “deserters”.
