Growing up in my church, The Five Love Languages was mandatory reading. I still think it’s a good concept but yeah the gender dynamics in the edition I read were extremely conservative.

I’m not a high enough patreon supporter to vote on new eps but I wish they’d cover Think and Grow Rich. It’s from 1937, sold 20 million copies, and is basically the grandfather of the “you’re poor because you aren’t braining correctly” genre.
Napoleon Hill, yeah I know the one. It’s essentially just The Secret but maybe better written.
