It’s funny you mention that, because I remember reading that there was some city in Germany – Frankfurt, I think – that was trying to recreate an ornate sculptural fountain that had been destroyed during the war. They eventually hired the Mansudae Art Studio (state-sponsored art production facility in the DPRK) to do it, because the north Koreans are some of the only people in the world who still have the training and skill to do classical sculpture on that level.
