So which account management company figured out lemmy exists?

How do we feel about it? I know the rules allow it but I’m not asking the mods, I’m asking the boob viewers.

Asking for selfish reasons because if Lemmy is cool with shameless promotion I’ve got a girl to promote too haha.

But this seems very low effort…

Here’s some boobs so this post doesn’t get nuked. Posted with her permission.

I’m conflicted about it as well. I like that the OF promoters bring a lot of OC posts, but I don’t like when they spam 10 different communities with the same picture and title and then never respond to any comments on their posts.

I think it’s possible for someone to be an active member of the lemmynsfw community and have an OF page at the same time. It becomes a problem if someone isn’t participating in the community and is only using us for promotion. I’m not sure how to make the distinction or how it would even be enforced.

This is just my opinion though.

I agree with pretty much all of your sentiments above. You can sell yourself and content while still being a part of a community.

What sparked this post was that all the posts in ‘gonewild’ and ‘boobs’ today with the OF trial links were made by the same media manager. From a moderation standpoint I don’t know that you could ever really enforce rules to stop this without crossing the line into draconian or oppressive, which would ultimately hurt posting overall.

I agree, I heard complaints from someone here (I forget who, and I can’t find the comment section where she complained) about being frustrated trying to participate in the NSFW subreddits on Reddit now that they require all sorts of verification and karma requirements and mod approval.

I don’t want users like that to be shut out from participating in an effort to block OF promotions. There’s gotta be a happy medium, I just don’t know where it is. The rules here shouldn’t discourage people from posting their OC like how it seems to be in Reddit.

I think I was the one who complained about how much of a pain in the ass it was to post on reddit. Well, maybe I wasn’t the only one, but I definitely have complained about it.

I’m also not sure of the exact post with the comments, but I do know which user you are referring to. It really has gotten to the point where you need to know the 100 hidden rules for a community to post unfortunately and I would hope we don’t go in that direction here.

My worry is that if we get to the point that we have new accounts spamming OF promotions every day it will get both cumbersome to block everyone and deter future legitimate posts. In the end it comes down to what is accepted by the rules of the community and the moderation and this will vary wildly with how small the population is overall.

But for real, next time you are going to town try holding a camera steady at the same time 🤣

Also to everyone reading this, im literally just a normal dude… No idea how I got I to this tbh. Started as a joke, next thing I know she’s naked and I’m filming. Could happen to anyone. Be a real person to the women in your life.

I think you’re right, but that’s not much better than a bot account to be honest. All the profiles have since been updated to be slightly less obvious, but still all follow the same generic format.

Personally none of these accounts will receive a welcome from me and will probably be blocked. This is the same copy paste garbage advertising that made Reddit unusable for NSFW and buries legitimate content producers. I don’t have an issue with Onlyfans advertising, but if the producer isn’t willing to put in the slightest effort then I’m not willing to humor them.

Ok, so, I prefer when it’s the person in the photos doing the posting/interacting. It at least makes it feel authentic. Yesbum and sexmeat seem to be the best examples of this here. (There are a few others, but those seem to be the most high profile.)

OF promoters, well I have little to no respect for them. Posting in 20+ communities all with some uninspired title that may or may not be in tune with the community they posted their image in.

So I’d say the line is them engaging with the community. Even if they don’t respond to comments, fucking at least keep your images to a few relevant communities (Nothing irritates me more than clicking on a profile and seeing a page full of the same image.) and make your titles fit with your content. Not just, “What if I were your sister, what would you do?”.

I liked when OF wasn’t really a thing on Reddit because the girls posting back then usually did so because it was just as much part of their fetish and something they were in to. OF girls posting always feel a bit fake, like they’re pandering.

I say keep the OF links and ads in the user profile and out of the posts and comments. If I see it I down vote it.

If somebody is desperate enough they will creep the profile looking for more and find the links.

I wouldn’t even say that desperate. TONS of dudes (and chicks, and between, etc) use Only Fans and the like. Its the normal respected, expected way to find a content creator you like. It would make zero sense for a OF content maker to not include the OF or linktree or whatever in Bio info. That’s where it should be. Only ever linked to in a post, if someone is dumb and directly asks for a link. even then, it sometimes kinda looks like a fake account being used to pump things up more.

I find it annoying when their titles are nonsensical and obviously baiting for engagement. Like, I feel like it doesn’t even help them to have higher engagement numbers on a non-monetized post anyway. But I think more posting is better, even if it’s OF creators

Yeah, that’s the bulk of decent OC. So, happy to have them as long as a single person doesn’t fill up my entire feed with the same post in every, uh, sub or whatever we call them here.

Well, 're a well established poster though, so I think you get a lot of inherent extra wiggle room. Look at how highly upvoted your content is compared to the content in question here. it’s easy to discern from my point of view, and I cant speak for others, but I do expect most of us feel the same way. Also, a lot of us may have a buuuunch of communities blocked just 'cause it isn’t our thing, or whatever. Knowing that, for me, means that when I see an established poster’s profile posting the same thing a bunch of places, I may only have been in 2 of those communities, so from a “front page” perspective, to me, its not spamming at all. idk

In a place like boobs I won’t mind it as much as in for example gonewild. Part of the appeal to me is that the person is just enjoying showing off. It being someone’s job is a bit of a turnoff, but boobs are boobs in a community about boobs.

        100%

Gone Wild is a reference to the original “girls gone wild” series of VHS tapes/DVDs. (I grew up watching blurry ass GGW infomercials.).

So a community called “gonewild” where the theme is girsl showing off thier bodies, should really be limited to just “women flashing for the camera” type posts. Problem is, IRL those women were paid, or got mardi gras beads, etc. its always been transactional, behind the scenes. Now that women can directly promote themselves more readily, or can hire a "reputable"manager, and there’s no camera cuts here to hide the transactional nature of sex for entertainment.

I’m super glad I dont have to draw where the line is because it would drive me mad. What i do know is that it turns me on like wild when a woman wants to show herself off because its her kink, alone. Most of the OF girls also have that kink, they just chose to/ need to moentize it as well. At least in my experience with them.

There’s a whole scene of “ewhoring” where men have entire video/pic sets of women and they pretend to be them to milk men of their cash…. When I see these recent posts it’s an instant turn off as it just seems like some asshole somewhere pretending to be the woman. Normally really bad English combined with terrible typing too.

You don’t even have to go that much work, just see if they have free OF trials and chances are they’re part of an agency and not even posting themselves
