Yesterday I met up with an online friend of over 4 years for the first time. I did an escape room with he and his friends, then went back to their holiday let and played a bunch of board games. :)

Just got into learning about investing for the first time in my life, starting to accumulate dividend stocks. Wish I had started before my 30s but I hope I’ll be glad I did when I’m in my 60s. Finally got a share of home depot yesterday as it’s at a nice dip.
Dividend stocks is one strategy, but just remember that you’ll pay tax on your dividends over a certain threshold.
The boggleheads approach of buying broad market index ETFs that target growth rather than dividends is an alternative.
I’ve always considered myself quite intelligent. However, it only recently occurred to me, at 40 years old, that Mary Poppins was singing about mixing a spoonful of sugar INTO the medicine, and that children in those days weren’t being fed sugar by the spoonful to take away the bad taste.
Now I am questioning everything else that I think I know.
I just had to verbalise this somewhere.

Joined a gym, haven’t trained in 6months. I’ve been walking a lot and my face has gotten smaller, I’ve lost all my muscle mass. But the newbie gains will be fun again.
I have a fourth date tomorrow, I really like her but don’t feel the spark that everyone talks about. Is that bad?
The spark might not be as important as compatibility. Do you want the same things out of the relationship as her, do your long term life goals align with hers and most importantly, are you happy being with her and she with you
Honestly I would say no spark is not great…how’s the attraction? I’m not with my old partner anymore but I do remember that when we first met even a hug would send this feeling of warm electricity flooding through my body.
