Is this book more hard or soft scifi?
What did you like about the book, if you liked it al all.
Hows the spiciness level? 1-10 pepper scale.
I also take a lot of handwritten notes but disliked the hand writing UI on Onenote, I’m using Goodnotes for this.
It would be great to have all my notes in one system but I don’t mind that much. Goodnotes has good OCR so I can search my notes.
For me drugs, in moderation, do enhance life. A beautiful mushroom trip opening my mind to be able to see new patterns. Losing my sense of self in a ketamine trip was also a profound experience in realizing a lot of how we think is a construct and not inherently “real”.
The world, for me, is not so black and white.
That’s why I was playing with the thought of having a drink again. Now that the holidays are over the urge has lessened and I can continue my life of not drinking.

I’m not really up to date with how the links between the different Lemmy instances work
Don’t think so, it’s just that I see people around me drinking a few and calling it a night these festive holidays.
Thanks man, hit the nail on the head. When I stopped drinking I didn’t really considered I had a drinking issue. On the other hand I also knew that people without a drinking issue would be looking at sober communities online.
Pentax ME SLR camera, bought by my uncle in the 70s. Got some dents and scratches but it’s still taking beautiful pics.
There is something better than a robot, it’s the supermarket. Never ever am I making puff pastry again.
I’ve created my account at .world, anything I missed? Seems to work fine for me
I’ve switched to Joplin which I sync with my Nextcloud server.
OneNote is also good, if you’re already in the Microsoft ecosystem.
