1 year agoYou have to find out the issue when it won’t start.
There could be a faulty/failing connection somewhere in the primary electrical (Battery/fuse box/ ground ) - meaning it will pass power ( your dash lights up) but when high current is needed to start the engine, it can’t manage.
It needs to be investigated when it’s broken, but when it’s working.
It can be done. Compustar was the original manual remote start company. The process is when you engage the parking brake, the rs takes over so you can remove the key and the engine stays on. Once you exit the vehicle and the last door is closed the system shuts off the engine. If no doors have been opened between then and the time you want to remote start, it still has to be in neutral and the remote start will function.
No safety systems are permanently bypassed otherwise.
