You can get a Google pixel and sideload an operating system such as Grapheneos, and you won’t have to deal with any of Google’s bs spying. Highly recommend looking into it.

Wish you used Matrix instead. Kinda weird to use discord imo since it’s horrible for privacy & as others have said it’s just another closed-source walled garden, and that’s the reason many people switched to lemmy in the first place.

Even if there’s a matrix bridge to it I wouldn’t join because my messages would still be stored on discord’s servers (as far as I understand, correct me if I’m wrong). I hope you consider switching.

Best thing about the pixel is it lets you sideload your own operating system from Grapheneos, Lineageos, Calyx, etc.

The only issues I have are unfortunately still common throughout the entire phone industry (No user-servicability or repairability, no SD card slot, no headphone jack)
