Actuators are simple tech. I’ll save the 90 bucks. Unless it’s DOA it’s going to be fine long term.
It’s a 35 dollar part. And quite simple to repair. If you take your time WITH patience it would be really difficult to make it worse.
Find a young priest and and an old priest.
Timing chain shouldn’t run more than 2 grand. 10k would get you a comparable car. I’m going to start preaching this. Stop buying American. Their reliability has gotten worse in the last ten years after going up a bit the decade before. I just got my girlfriend a CRV our hypothetical children will drive that car to college.
You need a loaner. And you need to start documenting every visit. I believe the lemon law states they must fix it on the third attempt for the same issue. Check your state laws regarding lemon law. Hondas have great reliability that’s the reason I shop there. If my 23 Pilot was acting a fool I’d be pushing HARD to get it lemoned and get another one.
