Not that I’ve heard yet, there are lots of threads about WiFi not connecting to routers at all on the Oled but not finding alot about the signal. I’ve been to three different houses and all give me weak signals, so it’s not just my router. Was expecting alot more from this chip!
I’ve been writing this alot on here but the signal strength is terrible compared to other items, such as my tablet and phone. Like yours the signal strength fluctuates between 50 odd and 100% even when I’m literally sitting on the router.
I agree, it’s kind of annoying as this is one area i was hoping it would excel. I’m worried it’s a fault, but then if others are getting the same it must be how it is! Just feels crazy for something at this price. I was tempted to send it in for RMA but I think a new one would be the same. My phone and tablet run better, I just don’t get it.
If the WiFi drivers were available for windows I would test this too, but thats a waiting game Have you swapped your SSD at all, or are you all stock?
I’ve been having the same issues. It’s just not as good as the WiFi was on my LCD model. I’m finding the signal is weaker too, I can’t even get full bars standing next to the router. when I check the signal strength In desktop mode it fluctuates from about 58% to 100% and I’m literally next to the router. Is your signal fine?
Go into desktop mode, click the WiFi bottom right, click the down arrow next to your WiFi name, click on details and you will either see 2.4 or 5ghz
