This might be news to you, but EVERY dealership has done the same thing. Not to mention what happened in the used car market.

Might as well boycott them all and travel by bike from now on.

I don’t need failover at home. If I lose internet for a day, I’ll tether with my phone, go to a coffee shop or the office. Nothing in my homelab will die for lack of internet either

This is only going to do so much. If a connection is trully malicious, it’ll probably route through a domestic or EU IP (azure, digital ocean, linode, aws, hetzner, etc)

That said it would be interesting to monitor and see who all your devices are talking too
