I know people are using AI for jobs (heck Ive put a few cover letters though it), but getting close to automating the entire process is wild. Not sure how I feel about it.

In my area:

1. My area is a relatively Low cost of living area surrounded by people that have money. When they want to work remote but still stay in the same state, some % come east for cheap housing. They can pay cash for houses.
2. Corporations are buying houses, then renting. Less houses on the market. They also pay cash for houses.
3. People with multiple houses can use the aforementioned houses to buy up more housing to rent, creating a investment loop. Its in their best interest to keep the houses as small businesses/revenue streams.
4. There are apps that hook into MLS (example: https://www.mlslistings.com/more/mobile-app/) which means investors can make an offer faster than the general public or set up alerts (think stock market) that hook into the API. Ever wonder why some houses get multiple offers before or right after they are listed? This only works if the company/entity selling the property decides to add in the info into MLS and not just go with the defaults.

If you find out, let me know…or post? Cause ive been looking for something like that for years in the software development side. The most consistent has been google translate…but its not the greatest API and expensive for anything other than corps. Most sites are just looking to make sure they meet requirements, thats it.

Theres a mix of tools that look like they are useful in someway. Or just neat and ive never head of them.

I mean software development as a whole, probably. Just knowing how to code in a somewhat larger org can open up job opportunities later on.

Fediverse specific…probably not. My cynical side thinks that most lose money/spend much more than we take in from the fediverse. Most projects are just passion projects with very little budget. But dont believe me, try it out! I want to be wrong on this.

Thanks. Yeah I didn’t specify, I have the phone. I really wish the pixel line had replaceable batteries. And like you said wireless charging is a game changer. I like it so that the USB C will last longer. At least in theory.

I took just run android but I plan on experimenting after I get another phone. I’m looking for a phone that will last more than a couple of years…

I once played around with a fair phone. It felt like the best phone I ever played with.

I had an old Motorola that had Android, replaceable battery, and audio connection. It does after 4-5 years when the power button stopped working and they stopped updating the phone after the first couple of months.
