Are we talking hundreds of millions, or hundreds of billions? And either way, how much would that scale down for a smaller operation, something like what Factory Five does?
Genuinely asking and curious, to be clear. The number of “moving parts” in big businesses boggles my brain to the point that I wouldn’t even know where to begin.
They’re banned from entering the US. A few got in, but the US put stop-orders on both the manual and automatic versions, both of which are still in effect afaik, which afaik means that all Zs bound for the US are stuck in customs-limbo hell.
So until Nissan fixes their transmissions to the US govt’s approval, there’s a finite supply for their sports car, which has caused the usual “fuck you pay me” attitude of dealerships to go through the roof with the model.
Tofu Auto Works is one I personally love, but it’s mostly bodywork and cosmetics iirc fwiw (custom fastback hardtop, decklid spoiler, widebody, etc NA Miata).

I’d say oil is like blood while gas is like food.
Neither’s either ofc (any analogy breaks down at some point), but gasoline gets physically ingested, chemically digested to harvest some energy, and then what remains after digestion is ejected as waste. That sounds somewhat similar to we do with food, IMO.
Oil remains permanently in the “body,” forever circulated by a pump without ever leaving (and if it does leave, then a little bit of loss is survivable, but a lot can be fatal), which sounds a lot like blood IMO.
Oil isn’t really circulating anything like blood does (maybe heat, with heat exchangers being like lungs, but that’s a stretch IMO), but that’s about all I’ve got.
IMO, oil=blood and gasoline = food.
