I made similar mistake on German highway. There is a network of DC “fast” chargers that charge not by kWh, but by time. I forgot the name.

The trick is, it only starts on 40kW and then goes even down to 20kW of “DC fast charging”, so the time is running and you are paying for not much of a juice ;) And usually they have stands right next to ionity, which is probably the cheapest DC fast charging network in Europe.

Ouch for Tesla :( It’s a bit disappointing. While I would never buy car from them, I sort of hope they will be a beacon of EVs for the successful transition from ICE to EVs.
