But what’s the real number though?
One of their sponsors is WeWork. They filed for bankruptcy recently. How does that work??
I’m guessing they signed a multi-year sponsorship and are contractually obligated to see it through
WeWentBankrupt,LookingForWork
It’s okay, there will be no lay offs as they didn’t actually have any staff. Their purpose was to sponsor Man CIty and they achieved that already
You just shout “I declare bankruptcy”
Hey. I just wanted you to know that you can’t just say the word “bankruptcy” and expect anything to happen
Exactly! You have to declare it, which they obviously didn’t.
Congratulations, you are now bankrupt!
The shrews will arrive at your registered address within five working days.
Real shame because they could have got done nice free advertising from the latest David Fincher movie
Didn’t WeWork valued at 40B+ at one point?
This sounds like when some 14-year-old tried to make Asahi a no-name company when City signed a deal with them. They did their IPO like 6 months before demand for office space cratered.
Massive
Holy f*** nobody is catching city for a while.
Have to progress can’t stay as 115 fc forever
Yeah, ignore the fact that City won the Treble, and all the revenue that’ll bring in, especially this day in age… must be fake.
Prize money is a drop in the bucket for big clubs. It’s really minor in the total revenue
Yeah, ignore all the fake sponsorship deals. Definitely are fake.
How how ?
Seems legit 🤔
I’ve went to Asia and America, never seen anyone with a Man City shirt, I even saw someone with a Tottenham shirt.
Clearly fake but fairly well done
thanks captain obvious
I went to Manchester and didn’t see any
I’d ask you to visit us again then lol
Spurs are quite popular in the US and even in some certain Asian countries.
I went to Portugal and saw a shit tonne of city shirts
Pretty inspiring. I think their fundamentals, their long history of high achievement, and their passionate international following should get them above Real Madrid soon
They just won their first cl trophy.
you never know, they could win 13 more this season
13 more allegations? 💥🔫
Record PL revenue, record PL wages, record PL charges.
Groundbreaking club.
Wages?
Ah fair enough didn’t realise the bonuses for winning the treble/champions league was that high
Plastic club
Keep crying!
Money has ruined the game.
But it was fine in the 70’s and 80’s when Liverpool were the richest team in England due to their owner.
English football…
You know what im not even going to argue, you’re a Newcastle fan obviously you’re trying to justify it 🤣
It’s hilarious seeing it. I hate city dominating but the are literally doing what United have done for 20 years under Sir Alex… Buy the best players and dominate the league.
difference is neither club had a unethical, backwards state backing them for non sporting reasons
And Liverpool before that, Chelsea after it, and so on and so forth.
Shankly might have picked the players back in the 60’s but it was Eric Sawyer who arranged all the financing. In other words, they needed money to build the team and sign the best players.
Go back far enough and once the wage cap was lifted every team used money to buy success. Some also tried and failed.
Also in Liverpool (the city)back in the day the biggest team were 100% Everton. Once Liverpool became successful (under Shankly)those percentages began to change. In other words, there were plastic success chasing glory hunters even back in those days.
No one will ever admit this though.
I think people are more angry about where the money comes from (which wasn’t an issue when Liverpool and United dominated respectively) and the fact that regardless of spending a lot of money, there is growing evidence that City have been ignoring the existing financial rules for years anyway
Again, you’re not wrong. Where the money comes from is a valid, but in my opinion, separate argument from the money ruins football thing. As for the breaches, I agree, the rules may have been brought in by the current elite to limit competition or you may disagree with that. It’s irrelevant if the rules were in place and broken there should be punishments.
Dreams can be buy
People of city of Manchester are known for their great work ethic, good manners and humbleness. They have two great football clubs in their city, Manchester United and Manchester City. While the first one were successful for a long time same could not be said about the second one. Before the current ownership came MC had many ups and downs, however now with the establishment of City Football Group Man City are the best football club in the world. This is because Sheikh Mansour’s great vision, hard work, wisdom and business acumen. Now people of Manchester, those who support City can hold their heads high and have a sense of pride and accomplishment for their beloved football club.
Knew this was a sarcastic post the moment you mentioned Mancs and humbleness in the same sentence.
People of city of Manchester are known for their […] humbleness
I know this is a copypasta but this bit is comical. Very few places in the UK that huff their own farts as much as the mancs.
ChatGPT doesn’t know that United is based in Trafford instead of the city of Manchester?
I don’t know why you are being downvoted lol I found it hilarious. People do know it’s sarcasm right?
Manx’s are great but they aren’t humble lol
