A Colorado judge has rejected an attempt to remove former President Donald Trump from the state’s 2024 primary ballot based on the claim that he is constitutionally barred from office because of the January 6 insurrection.
I wish that was true, but they’ve severely lost the last three elections. Midterms were net positive, true, but just barely for an election that should have been the expected “red wave;” it was effectively a loss, too. And still, they continue to double down (see The Backfire Effect).
It’s going to take several cycles of losses just to drag that Overton Window back to the center.
