The Nissan Ariya looks great and in the small basic affordable car space they did that collaboration with Mitsubishi for the Nissan Sakura.

Having a great looking aesthetic and a super affordable base model car is a good strategy in these times of high interest rates and EV models that are just too damn expensive.

I absolutely love my Nissan Rogue platinum. I had a friend shop around several different brands looking for an SUV and out of everything they test drove the Rogue had the most function and features, they bought the rogue and love it too

Gotta say the latest Versa is actually appealing in an “if I absolutely had to buy a new car now under duress” sense. Would be nice to have a hatchback or at least a high-spec 6MT car but a big part of the appeal is that the cheapest manual Civic is almost 10 grand more…

      You don’t say.

The bigger, more powerful, and quicker car costs more than the smaller, less powerful, and slower car.

There is no high spec 6MT Versa. Base model only and options are kinda meh. Which is too bad since the higher trims have decent interiors for what they are.

Give the Pathfinder the same refresh you just gave the Rogue and I’ll gladly add to those numbers.

The Renault alliance broke up a few months ago, Nissan bought out their share from Renault.

All Mitsubishis will have Nissan engines. The Mitsubishi deal to re-badge Renaults in Europe was arranged before the break up and won’t be renewed when it expires.

Renault has formed a new alliance with Geely (Volvo/Polestar) which Nissan-Mitsubishi has no part of.

Made the mistake of buying a 2004 Altima in 2006😠 What a piece crap!!! Clunky transmission and burning oil @ 60 kilometers. The dealership was not interested in honoring the warranty! Had to take a major loss in trade for a 2006 Camry. Since then, I have stuck with Toyota religiously. Presently, I drive a 2013 Lexus ES with 79 Kilometers, couldn’t be happier!!!

The Z sure is a interesting car. Shame no dealer within 300 miles of me ever has any. It’s nothing but a sea of silver Altimas.

They’re banned from entering the US. A few got in, but the US put stop-orders on both the manual and automatic versions, both of which are still in effect afaik, which afaik means that all Zs bound for the US are stuck in customs-limbo hell.

So until Nissan fixes their transmissions to the US govt’s approval, there’s a finite supply for their sports car, which has caused the usual “fuck you pay me” attitude of dealerships to go through the roof with the model.
