Honestly it’s been the worst ownership experience for me. Probably just the dealer but with my Toyota they were all over everything and gave great service. The Mazda dealer have been an absolute pain in the ass and refuse to do anything.
I have a 2017 3 and it’s obviously out of warranty. I went into the dealership to have them look at a parking brake issue (it’s ridiculously loud, metallic clunking when engaging) that I was having. I know they’re more expensive, but, I liked the idea of having a Mazda certified technician diagnosing and looking at my car. I told them I was paying out of pocket for the work and that I have light modifications (air intake). They said it was okay. I arrived at the dealership, they took the car and pulled it back out in 2 minutes after “confirming the issue” but refusing service because of the intake. I went back and forth with the advisor and supposed master mechanic, but, it was like arguing with a brick wall. A local mechanic pinpointed and fixed the issue in the manner of a few hours.
I’m worried about the upcoming backup camera recall, with my poor experience with my parking brake, do I trust them to do the backup camera? Obviously not. I’ll probably go to Seattle… 2 hours away.
Great. If only I could get my dealer to fix my CX-30 suspension rattle instead of gaslighting me it’d be great.
I’m also struggling with my local dealership - pretty much unwilling to fix issues.
