I have a 2011 Mazda 3, with the stock wheels/tires. 205/55/R16
Due to an unfortunate incident, I need to replace all (and them some! Ugh).
I found a used wheel/tire set online that’s 205/60/R16 for an amazing price. Is that extra 5% in sidewall height a big deal?
Stick with the stock size, 205/55 r16 is a super common size and should be easy to find., The 205/60 will be larger enough that you might run into clearance issues in your wheel wells
Not super easy to find at this price lol.
A set of four wheels/tires. Almost brand new for $150 total.
4 wheels/tires new is like $1000 minimum.
DIYer advice:
It’'s an extra 3% in overall tire diameter (an extra 10mm in sidewall height and ride height, and 10mm less clearance at the top of your tires). 10mm is slight less than half an inch. Not a big deal in my opinion.
