There was an instance of some unacceptable behaviour on the community overnight which has prompted a couple of permanent bans and a slight tweak to the rules.
If I or another user expresses their opinion on any subject that you may not agree with and respond with completely unacceptable abuse you will be permanently banned.
I operate a zero tolerance to that kind of behaviour on this community.
If you don’t agree then use the downvote button. But DO NOT respond with abuse to me or any member of the community.
I realise that this is something that only comes from a very small vocal portion of the community and to put it bluntly branding people “transphobic” because you disagree with their opinion is not welcome here.
Also improper use of the reporting system will and has also resulted in two temporary bans.
So the new rule…
Abuse will not be tolerated
If and when a user posts an opinion you disagree with do not respond with abuse, insults or bad language. Downvote, block the user and move on

I wanted to make a post to highlight a few updates to the community rules.
Most of the rules will stay the same with the main changes being around memes and discussing jailbreaking systems and playing roms.
The new rules are designed to make this community an interesting and safe place to discuss our passion for gaming.

There will be a pinned comment every weekend to post memes in. Please keep all meme posts confined to the pinned post.
Memes posted outside of the pinned post will be removed.
Jailbreaking and Piracy
Absolutely no discussion on how to pirate games or jailbreak systems that are currently available. So PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series S & X and Nintendo Switch is not allowed.
Discussing jailbreaking or modding older systems is fine. As is discussing emulating old games and where to acquire ROMS for games that are no longer available to purchase new.
No Begging, Sales, Giveaways or Contests
Don’t beg for games or store credit here. Likewise this is not the place to try and sell your stuff.

Been a good run but I’m not posting memes to a thread. I also have no idea what you’re trying to do with this community. You’ve banned the only successful things posted to the community and you are also the only one posting anything news related for games. You repeatedly lock entire threads because of a single discussion you feel got “off topic”, thereby preventing anyone from ever discussing it. You also aggressively overhauled the entire rules without warning anyone or even asking the community what they want.
All you’ve done is make a 1-to-1 copy of /c/Games but with less engagement and moderation that leaves one hell of an eyebrow raised.
