      How?

WoT has nothing in common with HP.

HP: Shoddy world building, lovely characterizations, limited cast of characters (1 PoV, 90% is just the golden trio etc), nonsensical magic system with arbitrary rules subject to change at any time, engaging writing style

WoT: Meticulous, careful and detailed world and universe building, obscure/indirect characterizations, expansive cast of characters (the first book has like 6 or 7 PoVs and it only gets more with every book and there is like 600 named characters with text and repeat appearances who you have to remember or you won’t understand anything…), combination of 2 orthogonal magic systems that interact in very specific ways, a writing style that murders unpracticed readers by the page (just the other day I read a scene where three dialogs are going on simultaneously, half the participants names start with A and the PoV character is half listening to all those conversations without mentioning who is saying what)

If you like Harry Potter do not go to WoT next!
