You may remember he (and Obama) said he believed marriage was between a man and a woman during the 2008 debates. Then, you may remember under the same administration, Gay marriage was federally legalized. It’s not like he’s going to go back to his pre-2008 stance in November.

gay marriage was made legal through the courts so it became legalized in spite of that administration; not because of it.
