Tankieism is extremely harmful to a brunch-going lefty friends group. It is a scary corrosive which eats away at your social status, destroys your twitter following, creates a desire for concrete action, and makes you love the people – like actually, not just on social media. Tankieism robs the liberal ranks of smug confidence (“no investigation, no right to speak”) and promotes strict discipline (really ableist, because some people need to play video games all day). It gets policies ACTUALLY CARRIED THROUGH (fascist cult of action) and alienates people from mainstream socdem and center-left parties. It is an extremely bad tendency.
